Let’s make this year your best year yet! Here are 5 Daily Habits That Will Make You Healthier And Happier! Challenge yourself this week to try them and watch your life change!
1. Meditate for 10 minutes in the morning.
The way you start your morning sets you up for the rest of the day. Meditating for just 10 minutes a day can improve your overall quality of life! Start tomorrow morning by waking up, and not checking your phone right away. Sit or lay quietly and let your mind relax. We love picking out new meditations the night before to listen to when We awake in the morning. It really kickstarts your day and instead of leaping out of bed in the morning , it eases your mind body and spirit into the awakening mode , thus making for a peaceful day! Set your alarm for 10 minutes earlier tomorrow , instead of hitting snooze , meditate! The difference it makes is astounding.
2. Walk outside your house.
One of life’s greatest gifts is nature ! Being outside for just 10 minutes a day boosts your immunity , heightens your mood, and gives you one of the most powerful vitamins, vitamin D! Breathe in the fresh air, let the sun graze upon your skin, let all of your worries and cares go. Being outside grounds you and your soul, creating a happy and healthy body.
3. Exercise !
So you just got home from a long day at work, the last thing you want to do is exercise. Think again! Exercising for just 15 minutes a day improves your overall mood and mental health, helps to control your weight, reduces your risk of heart disease, boosts confidence, helps you quit habits like smoking, helps your skills -like thinking, judgment and learning - just as perfect as your age, and keeps you healthy overall! If it is too much to exercise after work, set an alarm to do a quick workout in the morning, your body and mind will thank you!
4. Smile at yourself in the mirror
Mirror work is one of our favorite daily habits that has changed our life for the better. Daily mirror work and practice has been shown to improve confidence ! Mirror work reflects back all of those feelings that you have about yourself as a whole. It will show you what thoughts you need to change to improve your life. So smile at yourself, tell yourself “insert name here.. I love myself, I deeply and fulfilling accept myself, everything is okay in my world.” Practice mirror work every single day. You will see the difference it makes in your life.
5. Slow down
In this ever changing flow of life we are constantly thinking about what we are going to do next, we forget about this present moment. This moment is all we know we have for sure, and making aware of that is the best thing we can do for life. Why are we rushing through life? We aren’t enjoying those little moments of today. Make today matter, slow down, eat a little longer and really taste your food. Enjoy that morning cup of joe and take a relaxing hot shower. Those little changes will improve your mood, your mindset, and your ability to perform daily tasks with more clarity, calmness and ease.
