Mornings affect our whole day. The first thoughts in the morning create a slate for the rest of your day.
We are here to tell you our best 6 Morning Habits That Will Change Your Life, and make for a peaceful morning.
1. Give yourself time.
It might be tempting to click that alarm clock to get a few extra zzzs but most of the time those few extra minutes of sleep make you feel more drowsy throughout the day. When waking up to your first alarm that goes off, it will give you time to get your head space ready for the day.
2. Don’t reach for your phone.
In the morning it’s so common - to just reach for your phone when you wake up to see what you may have been missing in the night. Right? But starting your day staring at the screen could trigger bad effects and created a clustered mindset. So instead try taking a few minutes to meditate. Which leads us to our next tip.
You have such a big day - meetings and errands you have to run- oh and can’t forget about picking up the dog from the groomers. It’s hard to function throughout the day without creating a good foundation for the rest of the day. That’s why we love taking a few minutes even if it’s just 3-5 to take a few deep breaths and practice meditation. You can meditate - read a poem - say a few thankfuls or just Journal. But it’s important to take these few moments to regroup yourself and prepare yourself for a great day!
4. Stretch !!!
Ahhh our favorite!!! Nothing says good morning like an amazing stretch. We like to do a few yoga poses- nothing too intense. Like catcow or downward facing dog to help kickstart the day!
5. Stay hydrated!
All because you are drinking that coffee in the morning does not mean you are drinking water. Make sure to remember to drink water in the morning to rehydrate your body after a long nights slumber. This creates a clear mind and body for the rest of the day.
6. Eat a healthy breakfast
Everyone knows the saying breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Well it’s true! It helps you stay focused and fueled for the rest of the day. It doesn’t have to be a huge breakfast, it can be something small like oatmeal and apples or avocados and toast! Just make sure you grab something to fuel that body of yours.
Your new morning routine has been completed. You feel refreshed already!
